Rare has revealed that over 10 million players have played its mulitplayer title Sea of Thieves, in which players take on the life of a pirate and sail the seas with their fellow crewmates. Rare has been updating the game with new content such as activities like fishing, and cooking. There have also been some big events within Sea of Thieves for players to experience. Outside of the game proper, there’s also a Sea of Thieves tabletop RPG on the way. Rare took to Twitter to thank the 10 million players that gave Sea of Thieves a chance.

Rare is working on a brand new title and that is Everwild which is likely to be a game for the next generation. While that is in development Rare has stated it won’t be leaving Sea of Thieves behind just yet. In our review of Sea of Thieves Stefan wrote:
Sea of Thieves defies modern gaming conventions in brilliant and refreshing fashion, creating a fairly unique sandbox where you and your crew need to find your own fun. It might be in real need of more variety to the quests and activities, but Sea of Thieves’ curious charms are like a siren’s song that keep drawing me back for more piratical adventures on the high seas.
