Star Trek Online adds Picard’s Seven of Nine and Discovery’s Michael Burnham

Star Trek is back with the launch of the rather excellent series starring Captain Picard, and joining him on his new adventure is Voyager’s own Borg, Seven of Nine. Star Trek Online are capitalising on the interest in the new series by adding Jerri Ryan’s famous face to the game.

Joining her will be another strong independent woman, Star Trek: Discovery’s Michael Burnham, played by Sonequa Martin-Green.

I’ve not been paying attention to Star Trek Online recently so I have no idea how these characters are in the same game as in the series they live hundreds of years apart, but I’m sure there’s some timey-wimey explanation.

As you can see in the trailer below the game also features the crews of Voyager, the Original Series, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Discovery, and a Borg Queen.

Here’s more from Perfect World Entertainment Inc.

Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of live service games, and Cryptic Studios announced Star Trek Online: Legacy is now live on PC and launches on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One on March 3. To celebrate this milestone, the development team at Cryptic Studios is releasing brand new content under license of ViacomCBS Consumer Products that pays homage to various Star Trek series spanning the franchise’s incredible 50+ year history. This kicks off with two new featured episodes, starring Seven of Nine (voiced by Jeri Ryan) from the Star Trek: Voyager and brand new Star Trek: Picard series on CBS All Access, plus Starfleet’s very own Michael Burnham (voiced by Sonequa Martin-Green) from Star Trek: Discovery. Star Trek Online: Legacy also introduces a brand new space TFO and special anniversary events that allow players to earn the all new Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser.
