Big In Japan sale now on in the PlayStation Store – Get up to 70% off Japan’s biggest games

Sony have brought back their recurring Big in Japan sale on the PlayStation Store, highlighting Japanese developers and publishers with savings of up to 70% on some of the, well, biggest games they’ve produced.

Live from now until 11:59pm BST on Friday 8th May, you can grab Dark Souls 3 for £12.99, the sublime Resident Evil 2 remake for £19.99, the lawyerly crime drama of Judgment for £24.99, Yakuza Zero for just £8.99, Ni no Kuni Remastered for £19.99, and plenty more besides.

Now, admittedly, there’s a real sense of deja vu here. Sony hold these Big in Japan sales pretty regularly. In fact, there was one just in February, and it’s been used as a theme four times in the past year. Surely they can come up with some more interesting themes?

Anyway, head to the store to browse, or scroll on for the full list of discounted games. We’ve filled in some of the prices, but let us know in the comments if there’s any particular bargains you’ve found.

  1. While it’s not for everyone, 428: Shibuya Scramble is worth the £9. It’s just completely insane. And more gameplay than your usual “visual novel” type thing in a way. Rather than just read lots and make some decisions and eventually get to an ending, it’s more of a puzzle to solve. Jump between the different characters, find the right choices that affect the different stories and eventually get everyone to the end of each hour of the game.

I’m not even going to go down the rest of that list, because of that backlog.

Although quite a few of them seem to be included with PS Now, which is currently available for £37.49 (25% off). For new customers only. Or possibly just non-subscribers only. Bit of a bargain there, really.
