Zombie Army 4: Dead War – Blood Count DLC mission out now

Zombie Army 4: Dead War’s second DLC campaign mission is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. Entitled Blood Count, will this be the Empire Strikes Back of the Hell Cult season pass?

Following on from the investigations into a strange zombified laboratory in the first episode, Blood Count takes players over to Transylvania to a seemingly abandoned castle. There’s more undead and SS cultists to be fought as you try and check out its deepest darkest secrets.

Given that it’s in Transylvania, I’m sure we can all guess it’s going to be vampires, can’t we? If it isn’t, I’ll be a little bit disappointed!

In addition to the story mission, there’s also the following little morsels of content:

  • Renegade Officer
  • Bloodsoaked Weapon Skins
  • Gas Mask Headgear Bundle
  • Mortar Shotgun Bundle

This will all be following by the third and final DLC mission, due out in May. Of course, if you’d rather not pay, you’ll be glad to hear there’s some freebies on the way as well. All players can look forward to a new game mode, a higher difficulty level and a second free horde map, all of which will be coming along this summer.

The Zombie Army 4 Season 1 Pass bundles everything together, with content also to be available separately. If you picked up the Zombie Army 4: Super Deluxe Edition, then Season 1 has been included already.

We had a ball with our Zombie Army 4: Dead War review when it came out all the way back in February. With new player abilities and weapon mods, alongside more refined level design, I said:

“If you like shooting zombies with friends, then Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the game for you. There’s a few new twists and several layers of progression now thrown into the mix, as you battle undead Nazis once again, but this is classic undead sniping action through and through.”
