It seems like Bungie will be releasing details about the next Destiny 2 chapter on June 9th. The information comes from a now deleted post from the official Destiny Instagram account, but PSU managed to save the link so it is still viewable. The teaser does not show too much but seems to hint that players will be heading to Europa in search of something. The figure is Eris Morn who is a Hive expert so it could be that the Hive has a presence on Europa, or something else may have drawn the character there such as the Darkness.
It is not yet clear why the post was deleted. It could have been uploaded by mistake, or Bungie could be waiting to see how the current political situation plays out. The company may choose to delay the announcement much like EA has done with the Madden NFL 21 reveal, Sony has done with the PS5, and Activision has done with Call of Duty. The situation is too unpredictable to hazard a guess for when these announcements and releases will be scheduled for.
Bungie has confirmed that it will be releasing Destiny 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The news came via a Tweet the company posted in reply to the official Xbox account which had listed the developers that would be creating games for the Xbox Series X. However, it is not yet clear how the transition between generations will occur, but Bungie has stated that it will release more details soon on how Destiny 2 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Bungie is yet to give details on the multiplayer and whether Destiny 2 on the next generation will support cross platform play and whether the playerbase will be split across console generations or if players will be able to compete with each other across generations.
