Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer today for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and this one explores the fate of main character Eivor. The trailer shows Eivor leaving Norway for the fields of England, as well as what the character will get up to in the new land. There are shots that reference battles and raids as towns fall to Eivor’s Vikings. There are also shots that reference the more stealth, Assassin’s life with a quick glimpse of the hidden blade and Eivor skulking in the shadows.
Eivor can be either male or female and is heavily customisable. A returning element will be creating a village settlement that acts as the hub for Eivor and their fellow Vikings, which you’ll be looking to grow through your time with the game, with the story centered around this element (and potential romances as well). A raven is to be Eivor’s animal companion to help explore the world, replacing the eagles from previous Assassin’s Creed games.
A few days ago, Ubisoft did a deep dive into some Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla gameplay that explored lots of different areas of the game. That includes fishing, sailing the longships, flyting, environmental puzzles, meeting people in the world, chasing some paper, drinking contests, building cairns, conducting raids, fighting a regular boss, and fighting a mystic boss. The total amount of time that footage lasts is approximately 30 minutes.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be out on 17th November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. It will also release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For the home consoles, there are free cross-gen upgrades, with one way using Smart Delivery on Xbox.
