The Ascent gets a new four player co-op trailer

Curve Digital and Neon Giant have dropped a new trailer for their action RPG The Ascent, an exclusive game for Xbox Series X|S and PC coming out later in 2021. The game also coming to Xbox Game Pass on the day of its release.

Check out the new trailer:

The Ascent was announced in the first Xbox Series X game showcase, coming as a top-down RPG with plenty of graphical spectacle to it. The game is set in a free-roam cyberpunk-inspired dystopian world. The story of The Ascent is set in the aftermath of the collapse of mega corporation The Ascent Group which controlled the aspects of everyone’s lives. In that new vacuum new organisations and criminal syndicates are vying for power. Players are fighting for the survival of their district and will also try and discover what led to the downfall of The Ascent.

It builds on classic RPG mechanics to allow for players to build their character with cyberwear, augmentations and loot, while the combat features a double-aim mechanics to let you target multiple enemies at once, and do so on multiple levels – the game world has been designed with a lot of verticality in mind, aiming to make the different levels of the world and platforms feel like an integral part of the game. You won’t have to go alone, with the narrative adventure being playable solo or with up to four players in co-op.

The Ascent is coming to Xbox Series X and PC a little later this year, but if you were hoping for a release date? Well, it seems like there might be a little bit of a wait…
