Indie sci-fi thriller Deliver Us The Moon will receive a free upgrade on console to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the near future, adding ray-traced graphical effects and taking advantage of each console’s built in SSDs to speed up loading times.
The new graphical effects will add ray-traced shadows, reflections and audio into the mix, tapping into the capabilities of Unreal Engine 4 and bringing over some of what is already available in the PC version of the game.
Deliver Us The Moon is an almost-apocalypse game, in which you play Earth’s last astronaut on a do-or-die mission to reestablish the connection with a lunar colony and the vital supply of energy that it provides an Earth where natural resources have been depleted.
The game launched for PC in late 2019, and then came to PS4 and Xbox One in April 2020. We reviewed the console release of the game, with Tom saying in our Deliver Us The Moon review:
Deliver Us The Moon really surprised me. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s a fantastic sci-fi thriller that kept me gripped throughout. Deliver Us The Moon is a stellar experience which will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
