It’s coming toward the end of the month, and I’m sure many of you are eagerly looking forward to the PS Plus Free Games for September 2021. What are the latest rumours? When will the announcement come? Let’s break it down.
When will PS Plus September 2021 games be announced and released?
Traditionally PlayStation Plus games have always been announced on the last Wednesday of ever month at 4.30 PM UK time with the games going live the following Tuesday morning, so for this batch of games we are looking at Wednesday 1st Deptember. That said, Sony occasionally decide to change things up and announce them earlier or later, depending on what mood they are / what underpants they are wearing / the availability of their favourite coffee / some other reason they never reveal.
What will the PS Plus September 2021 games be?
So far there have been no leaks but we might have a good candidate for the bonus PlayStation 5 game. F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch launches on PS4 and PS5 on September 7th and was featured in a State of Play broadcast. It’s also part of the PlayStation Indies initiative.
The game is a a dieselpunk-style action adventure featuring an anthropomorphic bunny wielding a huge, weaponized metal fist. The game has a “Metroidvania game world with a dozen of areas with distinguishing vision themes and level designs.”
The PS4 games are likely to be older titles, this month’s games are a shooter and a sports title so it’s unlikely we will get similar games for September. Talking of which…
Can I still download the August 2021 PlayStation Plus Games?
Yes you can, the PlayStation Plus games for August are Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 for PlayStation 4, and Hunter’s Arena: Legends as the PS5 bonus game. All the games will be available to download for PS Plus subscribers from 3rd August.
