Jump Force will be removed from digital sale in February

Jump Force will not be available on digital stores from February 8th, Bandai Namco has announced. Alongside the base game all DLC and the virtual currency will become unavailable to purchase. Bandai Namco also confirmed that the online servers for Jump Force will be switched off on August 25th, 2022. While a reason has not been given for the delisting it is most likely down to licensing rights expiring for some of the content in the game.

Once the online servers are switched off players will no longer be able to use clan features, viewing the notice board, viewing the leaderboards, accepting rewards from the rewards store, and online lobbies. Jump Force was released in February 2019 so will disappear two years after launch, unless you pick up a physical copy. In our review for the game, Miguel wrote:

“Crossover games are nothing new to Bandai Namco or Shonen Jump, so it surprises and disappoints me to see that none of the good aspects or successful mechanics of these previous games made their way into Jump Force at all. Jump Force is a visual mess, It lacks the fun and charm that a wild crossover like this should embrace, and It’s just a technical mess from top to bottom. Jump Force is a huge celebration of some of the most iconic manga in history, but it fails to do any of them justice.”
