For quite a while now, we’ve known about developer Mediatonic’s plans to bringing the popular battle royale sensation to other platforms. For now, the only way to play Fall Guys is via PS4, PC, and PS5 (via backwards compatibility).

Introducing season 6, Mediatonic has issued an update on the status of Fall Guys on Xbox and Nintendo Switch, saying:

We know everyone’s excited about Fall Guy coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox, with good reason.

There’s been a lot of speculation on social media connecting these new console releases to the Season 6 launch and we want to clarify that that’s not the case so no one’s left confused looking for the game on these platforms.

Thank you for being patient with us, it’s one of our top priorities in active development and we can’t wait to share more details with you in 2022.

With the game being well over a year old, Fall Guys doesn’t have quite the same pull or momentum it did when it made a splash on PlayStation Plus in 2020. It will be interesting to see just how many players it picks up when it eventually launches on other consoles. This will be a great day for the Fall Guys community as a whole, bolstering the matchmaking pool via cross-play an cutting down on queue times.

Fall Guys season 6 is now available as a free update, introducing 5 brand new rounds to play and a fresh Fame Path (battle pass).

PlayStation fans will want to dive back into the action. There are three PlayStation themed skins currently available to unlock, two based on Ghost of Tsushima’s Jin Sakai. The third has you dressing up as LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy. However, this costume is only available until December 5th for those who complete a series of time-limited challenges.
