GTA Online getting story DLC called The Contract, starring Franklin & Dr Dre

GTA Online will be getting some new story DLC called The Contract, and it will feature main character Franklin from the story of Grand Theft Auto V as well as Dr Dre. Dr Dre is onboard having produced some new music for GTA Online. You may remember back in October Snoop Dogg let it out of the bag that Dr Dre was working on music for GTA, and the assumption was Grand Theft Auto VI. While that could still be a small possibility it is likely that Snoop was referring to The Contract.

GTA Online The Contract will be launching on December 15th. In this new mission Franklin has set up a new business called F. Clinton and Partner, with the aim of the business to solve problems for the elite of Vinewood society. Franklin needs a partner to help the business grow and that is where the player comes in. One of the first clients that could use Franklin’s help is rapper and producer Dr Dre. It seems his phone has ended up where it shouldn’t have, and it contains some of Dr Dre’s new, unreleased music. The missions will take players across Los Santos from Franklin’s first neighbourhood, the FIB headquarters, and the mansions of the rich and famous. The Contract will also add a brand new radio station to GTA Online.

GTA VI will allegedly feature an expanding game map set in modern day Vice City. The reports came from insider Tom Henderson, whose track record includes leaking details of Battlefield 2042, and has since been corroborated by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier – who said simply “everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I’ve heard” – and Video Game Chronicle’s sources.

While Schreier had previously reported that 2023 could be a realistic release window, that was “before we entered a pandemic that still hasn’t stopped”, and with Rockstar wary of the criticism it received around Red Dead Redemption 2’s release for excessive crunch time development.
