Here’s GT7’s Daily Races for this week (21st March) – GTWS Nations & Manufacturers Cups start

Gran Turismo GT7 Manufacturers Cup Header

A new set of Daily Race events have been launched into Gran Turismo 7’s Sport Mode multiplayer, as well as the first Gran Turismo world Series events with the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup test seasons also kicking off this week. Here’s hoping there’s no server maintenance to spoilt the fun this time…

As with last week, there are three ‘Daily Races’ that will run all through the week – a bit of a misnomer, eh? – with the established format that lets you set qualifying times and then use this to matchmake against similarly competent rivals. The performance level of the cars has also jumped up a bit, with a Renault Clio in Race A, while there’s the two spec categories of Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 being used for the other two events. All three are now Balance of Power (BoP) races, so tuning, weight and engine power should all be balanced by the game.

There’s also the launch of the first FIA competitive events. Gran Turismo World Series Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup Test Season is get under way this week. The Nations Cup starts today and the Manufacturers Cup starts tomorrow (22nd March). Both will run for four rounds through the week, whittling down the competitors.

Here are the three Daily Races, which will cycle at regular intervals through the day, and also what we know about the first round of the GT Nations Cup.

Gran Turismo 7 is a huge return to the classic style of the racing game franchise, bringing back a car collecting side and single player to go alongside what was found in the pioneering Gt Sport. In our Gran Turismo 7 review, I said:

“Gran Turismo 7 takes everything that was excellent about GT Sport’s fantastic multiplayer, high fidelity cars and circuits and innovative Scapes mode, and builds up a more traditional GT experience around it. It’s got its own quirky new ideas which will likely be passing diversions to most, but at its core, this is the Gran Turismo you know and love. Broad and accessible, but with depth, nuance and competitive racing for those keen to find it.”

Gran Turismo 7 is out now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
