A new Enlisted update has been launched by Darkflow Software, bringing a bunch of new content to the WW2 shooter.
Enlisted update 1.29 is now available to download on PC and consoles, adding an entirely new campaign as players relive the Battle of Stalingrad.
One of the bloodiest, most harrowing battles of World War II, the Battle of Stalingrad will be fought on 7 new maps spread across various modes. Darkflow has also added new battlefields to its existing campaigns in Normandy, Moscow, and Tunisia.
Like the core game and existing campaigns, Battle for Stalingrad is completely free for everyone who has Enlisted installed. Some diehard players will no doubt want to get their hands on the latest premium bundle which includes:
- A premium squad of tankers for the Soviet Armed Forces + HT-130 flame-throwing tank
- A premium squad of tankers for the Wehrmacht forces + Pz.Kpfw. II (F) flame-throwing tank
That’s right, flame-throwing tanks. Enlisted update 1.29 also introduces the new Medic class (wonder what he does?) and the ability to call in bombing raids. Beyond these highlights, there is a trove of new weapon, vehicles, and squad customisation options which are detailed here.
Enlisted left us pretty impressed when we first played the closed beta ahead of release:
“With Enlisted marching out of closed beta, we’re already seeing new maps, weapons, and other content being pumped into the game. Being free to play means we’re likely to see plenty of boots on the ground in the coming weeks, though whether Darkflow can keep these players hooked will ultimately depend on how they monetise Enlisted and how it balances in-game grinding with paid-for shortcuts.”

If Enlisted doesn’t do it for you, there are two other World War II shooters also battling for supremacy. Hell Let Loose recently launched on consoles and PlayStation Plus (our PS5 review) with Call of Duty: Vanguard out now.
