Following on from their well received comic book series, Titan Comics has announced The Official Horizon Zero Dawn Coloring Book, coming out on 19th July 2022.

The colouring book features line art from the creators of the comic series, including artists Peach Momoko, Ann Maulina, Elmer Damaso and Harvey Tolibao. You’ll be able to put your own stamp on the scenes they have created through choosing your own colouring and shading.

While commonly seen as something for children, colouring books have grown in popularity for adults over the last decade or so. They can be a soothing activity that reduces anxiety and stress in a similar manner to meditation, partly thanks to bringing people a sense of their childhoods. The colouring books created for adults do tend to have much more complex artwork and patterns to tackle, though. As a physical activity, they can also be a good way to escape the technology that pervades so much of everyday life… unless you’ve got a fancy new tablet with a stylus and want to do a digital colouring book.

For Horizon Zero Dawn, and the sequel Horizon Forbidden West, this colouring book can also try to tap into the popularity of the franchise among cosplayers. Aloy’s character design captured the imaginations of so many cosplayers even in the run up to the first game’s 2017 release, and has become a staple to reproduce at fan conventions and events.

The Horizon Zero Dawn Coloring Book will be available for $14.99 / £12.99 from bookstores, comic shops and directly from Titan Comics.
