Everything announced in the Nintendo Direct Mini – Mario + Rabbids, Persona & more

Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct Mini today, showcasing a bunch of third party games, both big and small. Everything from a confirmation of the Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope leak to new Sonic Frontiers gameplay, Super Bomberman R 2 and both NieR: Automata and the Persona series coming to Switch were confirmed.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak got a pair of new trailers, the first of which revealed new monsters, including the Seething Bazelgeuse that will be added in the first Title Update.

NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch on 6th October 2022.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes announced by Annapurna Interactive and Simogo, a murder mystery for Switch and PC coming in 2023.

Super Bomberman R 2 has been announced, including both a 64-player battle royale and a new 16-player Castle mode. Expect it in 2023.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection brings all 10 Mega Man Battle Network games from the Game Boy Advance to Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC in 2023. There will be two separate digital volumes. 

Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a “modernised classic” from the PS1 that Bandai Namco are bringing to modern consoles on 23rd August.

The hand-drawn visual stylings of Blanc were revealed by Gearbox, an artistic co-op adventure with a wolf cub and a fawn teaming up in an unlikely partnership. It’s coming to Switch and PC in 2023.

Return to Monkey Island will be coming to Nintendo Switch and not just PC when it revives the classic point & click series later this year. Here’s some gameplay:

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is confirmed for an October release. A special showcase will be held by Ubisoft tomorrow.

The Portal: Companion Collection is out today for Nintendo Switch, with both Portal and Portal 2 combined for the handheld.

Square Enix announced HARVESTELLA, a new Life Sim RPG where the regular seasons are joined by a season of death, where all your crops will wither and die and people cannot venture outside. Blend that with a JRPG jobs system, and you’ve got a Harvest Moon for Final Fantasy fans, I’m sure.

The Persona franchise is finally, really, actually, 100% coming to Nintendo Switch! Persona 5 Royal launches on 21st October, with Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable to follow in 2023.
