The world of expensive video game tie in products continues to expand with the announcement of the Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector’s Box.
The box takes it’s inspiration from the games and features ‘first aid sprays’ that are actually non-alcoholic cocktails. There are ten sprays and four ‘ink ribbons’ which are actually containers for herbs that compliment the drinks. You will also get some recipe cards to help you combine the ingredients. The authentic storage crate, which visually resembles the in-game model, brings back the memories of Spencer Mansion and contains ten 330ml first aid spray cans, four ink ribbon cans filled with spice mixes, a spray cap, matching cocktail recipes and a certificate of authenticity including manual numbering.
The first aid spray is one of the most memorable items from the Resident Evil video game franchise and also the heart of the collectible. In terms of flavor and ingredients, GameFlavor took inspiration from the herbs, spices and fruits found in the game. The result is a delicious and refreshing green team based drink enhanced with hints of cucumber and lime-mint and flavored with many unique ingredients. The spray cap allows fans to present the first aid spray even after enjoying its content.
Ink ribbons are also one of the items from the Resident Evil series that every player will immediately remember. The ribbon cans from the First Aid Drink Collector’s Box each contain one of four different spices, which can be used to mix authentic non-alcoholic cocktails or serve as inspiration for their own cocktail creations with the help of the included
recipe cards.
I’m not entirely sure that serving cocktails via a spray can is the most appetising of ideas, but I expect Heston Blumenthal would approve of the Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector’s Box.
