Where can you find Rare Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2? As you swing through New York City battling Symbiotes and supervillains, you’ll earn resources that can then be used to purchase a variety of upgrades for Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
One of these resources are Rare Tech Parts which, as you’ve probably guessed, are harder to find than your average Tech Parts. These are used to unlock gear such as new Suits and Gadget upgrades, but where can you find them?
You can earn Rare Tech Parts easily, by completing any of the following side activities:
- Prowler Stashes
- EMF Experiments
- Hunter Blinds
- Unidentified Targets
One way of finding them is by locating Prowler Stashes. Those who played Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will recognise Prowler as one of the game’s lead antagonists, but nowadays he’s on the straight and narrow. To help Miles, he’s stashed caches of cutting edge tech around the city. These zones are easy to find, each one with its own unique environmental puzzle. EMF Experiments are introduced later in the story. Similar to Prowler Stashes, these stations are dotted around NYC and introduce puzzle-like challenges to solve.
With Kraven’s arrival, you’ll suddenly notice the appearance of Hunter Blinds hidden across the city skyline. Using their elite technology, Kraven’s cronies have put up invisibility fields that cloak their presence as they establish strategic outposts. To wipe these off the map, you simply need to defeat all nearby Hunters.
You will also notice vulture-like drones that patrol the skies in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Pursuing certain drones will trigger mini missions in which you must follow their flight path using the new Web Wings Suit tool, avoiding explosions and other hazards before getting up close and personal, ripping the Unidentified Target intel from Kraven’s flying robots.
Do you really need to go out of your way to collect Rare Tech Parts? Blitzing the story missions without them can potentially leave your Spider-Men underequipped, lacking an array of handy upgrades that can not only make you more powerful in combat, but add more variety to gameplay.
