Alien Isolation 2 has been revealed by Creative Assembly, Sega and 20th Century Fox, in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
Kurosaki Station is the new location for the survival horror, taking the sequel planet side with both a colony station and the ravaged alien landscape in the surrounding lands. This should give real contrast through the claustrophobic facility mixed with the open outdoors. Once again, the Alien will adapt and learn how to hunt you, developing new ways to track you as you, in turn, have to learn how to adapt your own approach.
Al Hope, Creative Director at Creative Assembly, said: “It has been over a decade since we created the original Alien: Isolation and I am so excited to show everyone the first glimpse of the sequel. Our dedicated Survival team at Creative Assembly has been working hard to create a new, evolved Isolation experience continuing the legacy of the Alien franchise, making the eponymous killer smarter, the environment harsher and the chance of survival slimmer.”
The full announcement comes a couple months after the first teaser. The official Alien Isolation YouTube channel posted a short teaser of what could be the first reveal for Alien Isolation 2. The video was titled False Sense of Security with the description being, “A feeling of being safer than one really is.”
Fans had been clamouring for a sequel for many years as Isolation is regarded as the best Alien game by far, we scored it 9/10 in our review with Peter saying “That idea of never being comfortable with how the game is unravelling is something that feels quite unique and it’s extremely well imagined here. Plenty of survival horror games have you feeling vulnerable as you essentially fulfil the role of a hero but things are different here. In you’re not the hero, you’re the prey.”
