Archetype Entertainment has announced that Exodus, the anticipated sci-fi action RPG from some of the key creatives of the Mass Effect and KOTOR series, will launch on 7th April 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The new cinematic trailer gives a further introduction to Salt, the Awakened octopus mercenary who joins Jun’s adventure as a companion character. Salt pilots a special combat mech, giving her mastery of long-range sniping and quick evasion, while also letting her drop ink-like smokescreens, which I kind of feel is a bit on the nose.
Jun and Salt find themselves brought together by needing to battle the same enemies, Jun’s homeworld of Lyden being consumed by the Celestial virus branded as the Rot.
Another character joining the journey is Emrys, a member of the Celestial species Deva, who acts as a support in battle that launches Remnant Orbs to drain and weaken enemies, and use that to protect Jun and his compatriots.
The Gamescom Opening Night Live trailer follows the big blowout gameplay reveal during Summer Game Fest, and shows that Archetype are rapidly getting close to launch.
