Having announced the game a few months ago, Playsport Games has now presented the first game trailer for Motorsport Manager 2, detailing the added depths and features of the game, and teasing the addition of motorbike management as well!
Motorsport Manager 2 is set to release for PC in 2027.
Motorsport Manager 2 promises a larger world of motorsport to explore, featuring open wheel cars that look more like the current era of Formula 1, GT3, WEC and, of course, that motorbike teaser.
There’s still some of the legally distinct real world circuits within this entry, as opposed to fully licensed ones, and the trailer showed equivalents for Bahrain, Dubai and Suzuka (seemingly called Yokohama here), but even if the twists and turns don’t match up to reality, the graphical presentation of the racing will be leaps and bounds ahead of the 2016 original – the wet track looks nice and splotchy with varying dampness.
You’ll build out your team’s facility, create customised liveries for your racing vehicles with a full-on livery editor, have a driver academy and future development to help talents grow, and plenty more.
Motorsport Manager 2 has been over a decade in the waiting, the original PC release having been published by Sega alongside the self-released mobile game. A PC sequel hasn’t been greenlit until Playsport was able to reacquire the rights to the IP from the Japanese publisher earlier this year and forge their own path, partnering with miniclip for publishing this time around. In the meantime, the studio has focused on the mobile game series, the most recent being Motorsport Manager Mobile 4 in 2023.

Sadly, this video confirms that the game will not have powerboat racing, but there is the possibility of more over-the-top wheeled racing series.
It’s great to see this sequel finally coming down the pipe, with the original having held hegemony over the niche since its release. Frontier tried an F1-centric series for a couple years, but as that puttered out, it wasn’t clear who could or would pick up the baton.
I guess ‘pick up the wheel gun’ makes more sense, actually.
