Journey Breaks Sales Records

Journey has become the fastest ever selling title in PSN history, Jenova Chen has revealed.This record was reached in both the American & European regions.

Jenova Chen, co-founder of thatgamecompany, said in the PS blog post:

“We see the personal connection between our work and the players, which is the most real and priceless reward for us. For that, we thank you so much for your support, for spending time and money to play our game, and for spreading the word about Journey to your dear friends and family.”

The Journey soundtrack will also be available through PS Store and iTunes from April 11th and will get a limited CD release as well, though a date for that release has not been confirmed.

This morning it was announced that Co-Founder of thatgamecompany, Kellee Santiago, had left to pursue new roles.

  1. Bloody awesome news! I’ve just picked up the white robe this morning so I look as cool as the other weirdos floating around.

    In the game – not in real life. That would be silly! :-)

    • How do you get it?

      • Grab all of the glowing white symbols then chapter select (assuming you’ve finished the game once) and look for the pedestal/area where you can see white ribbons flowing upwards. Pop in there and back out. Hey presto, you now look like Michael Jackson.

      • The dark robe turns white so you choose! :)

      • Thanks for the hint. I got it yesterday and it’s awesome. Three playthroughs and still can’t get enough of the game. :D

      • Damn it. I was going to say, get all the glowing orbs you see in the game. The white robes will be available when you start a new game once you’ve completed the current game.

      • Indeed. The fact that don’t stop believing was not the byline for this article was a trick sadly missed. Yes it would have been very obvious but the best ones often are. Good for thatgamecompany though. Well done. Downloaded flow for cheap other day so after that may pick this up.
