I did mention tonight’s PSN outage in Snatch on Monday, it was only meant to be for an hour in the middle of the day but appears things have changed slightly.
The outage will now last from 20:30 until 00:00 BST during which Account Management and the PS Store will be unavailable. PS Home will also be Offline.
Sony say that “most users” should be able to sign in during the maintenance period but there is a small sting in the tail; “Online gaming will unavailable between 21:00 and 22:00.”
It’s unclear if that means all online gaming will be unavailable and you will be kicked from any matches you are playing, or that you will not be able to start any new multiplayer matches during the hour, hopefully the latter.
As usual, Sony say there may also be additional downtime after the maintenance period “for testing purposes”.
