A Whole Load Of eShop Titles Announced On Nintendo Direct

Nintendo has announced quite a few games for the eShop which vary from free to play titles to full on releases, including entries from Steel Diver and Pokemon, as well as some indie titles including Retro City Rampage. The full list is below, including their trailers.

Steel Divers Sub Wars can either be purchased fully or played freely, with the difference being that only a couple of subs and levels are available in the free version. There will also be 4 vs 4 multiplayer which is not locked behind the paywall.

Pokemon Battle Trozei was revealed and it’s basically a match 3 game, where you have to get the same Pokemon in a row, and that then allows you to attack the opposing creature.

Weapon Shop De Omasse was shown during Direct too and it seems quite interesting. In this game you have to manage a weapon shop in an RPG world, crafting, maintaining and selling those weapons to the adventurers that pass your way. That’s out on February 20th.

Moon Chronicles is the first FPS on the 3DS with the story taking place on the moon after a mysterious hatch is discovered. The game is being developed by Renegade Kid, who also made the next title on the list.

Treasurenauts sees players tasked with collecting treasure on a mysterious island to offer as payment to escape from the place.

1001 Spikes was also announced to be coming to Nintendo’s eShop, and it is one of those games where the game is made hard because of the various traps around each level. This title will also be coming to PlayStation Vita.

Shovel Knight was also briefly shown during the indie eShop segment, with the game starring a knight armed with just a shovel to use on his journey. It will be coming to Wii U and 3DS. I do like the music in this trailer, sounds pretty epic.

We already knew about Retro City Rampage launching itself on to the 3DS, and it was mentioned briefly during direct again, and it’s already available to get if you want it.

Finally there was another game called Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball but there isn’t a trailer available yet. Basically it’s a game that’s free to try out but then you have to purchase the various mini games, centred around baseball, for a fee. However what was interesting is that you can haggle for the price of the content depending on how well you did in the free sections of the game. Definitely an interesting strategy put forward by Nintendo.

Yep, this was really interesting. First company to do this, I think. Wonder how low you can get that $4?
