11 Bit Studios has just revealed their latest game with a title called This War Is Mine, and it sounds like it could be a very interesting premise. The main focus of the game is to show war from the perspective of those who aren’t fighting on the frontlines, but instead trying to survive them. This game will be about the civilians stuck in a warzone, a besieged city, who try to survive each day as it comes while trying to avoid being shot.
There’s not much detail on the game but the studio has said the premise is based on real events, specifically an article the team read that looked at the life of a man who had survived in such a scenario. I don’t know what genre the game will fit into but there are some clues in that during the day you’ll upgrade your hideout, not daring to set foot outside in case the snipers shoot at you, while at night you leave to scavenge for supplies. No details of what platform the game is coming to either, but it is scheduled for 2014. The reveal trailer has left me very interested to see what comes next.

Sounds like a point-and-click game, similar to The Walking Dead if you ask me. While it does sound very interesting, I hope it isn’t a point and click, would much prefer it to be first or third person, but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

Sounds similar to Lone Survivor. Will be keeping my eye on this, wondering which genre/genres it will fit into.
