News Snatch: Assassin’s Creed, LittleBigPlanet HUB & Daylight

Right, settle down you lot, stop fidgeting, we’ve got lots of games news to get through, starting with The Legend of Doodle which has been announced for PS Vita and PC and will be released in the next three months.

Prize winning PlayStation platformer, Tearaway, has been granted some DLC in the shape of some 14 “exciting papery decorations” to paste over your character. As you can create things to stick on Iota in-game it seems rather frivolous, but then again, most DLC is.

Staying with Media Molecule, LittleBigPlanet HUB has been rated by PEGI so release cannot be far away. It contains “Non realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters – Pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children.”

Sony and Media Molecule have been rather quiet on the game since it was revealed, hopefully there will be a PR blitz before release.

This trailer highlights the new Insurgent class for Killzone Shadow Fall but seems to have been voiced by the least interested man on the planet.

There will be no demo for Watch Dogs before launch, which really should not come as a suprise as demos are few and far between these days, especially for large, open world games.

Capcom have halved their profit forecast due to a ¥5 billion cost related to “business structural improvement expenses.”

I bet you really wanted to know that.

A new trailer for Kirby: Triple Deluxe on 3DS.

Saint’s Row developer, Volition, was working on a modern western set in an post-apocalyptic open-world game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The project, codenamed Zeus, was shut down by the dev as they felt it would take too long to get right.

The developer’s most recent game, Saints Row IV, is getting a Game of the Century edition with all DLC thrown in.

Strike Suit Zero: Directors Cut has got a release date, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will release in North America on April 8 and in Europe on April 9. Check out the latest dev diary in the handy video above.

Are you annoyed by the annual release of Assassin’s Creed and wish they would take a year off to refresh? Well tough, because it’s not happening and it’s your fault.

“We are able to offer people a new Assassin’s Creed every year because they want Assassin’s Creed every year,” explained Ubisoft’s vice president of creative, Lionel Raynaud. “As long as this is true we would be very stupid to not satisfy this need, but it puts a lot of pressure on us to create something that will never disappoint.”

More release date news, as Enemy Front is landing on June 10th 2014 in the U.S. and June 13th for those in Europe, for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC.

Amazon have changed the release dates for Borderlands 2 on Vita from December 21st to May 13th.

The console version of Terraria is getting a massive patch full of bug fixes and tweaks including making the sun brighter. That would be handy right now as it’s smog o’clock in central London.

Wake Up Call is coming to PC first and then “as many platforms as possible.” The game blends stealth and shoot-outs and, though it may play like a linear game, your choices will result in one of five endings.

War Thunder will not be coming to Xbox One anytime soon, “Microsoft is not allowing cross-play completely; which means War Thunder cannot be on Xbox One,” Yudintsev told GameSpot.

Microsoft have cvountered this and said “For developers interested in enabling cross-platform game play between Xbox One and PC, we work with them closely to meet their development needs and ensure a great user experience.”

And Finally, Daylight has been delayed until April 29th on PS4, not to fix bugs or polish graphics, it is to “make sure all the scare cues are properly implemented for maximum player effect.”

  1. Daylight moving to 29th April? Wouldn’t that be the day May’s Playstation Plus games would go live? Just saying.

    • I’d love it, but I’d be surprised if they went with another horror game so soon after Outlast.

Some people just don’t like horror.

  2. I keep confusing Daylight, Dying Light and Child of Light. These 3 games just seem to revolve around in my brain. I press any article that contains ‘light’ these days.

  3. Hope they bring Tearaway to PS4 now DS4 has a touch pad.

Not really interested in LBP Hub unless they let you build much larger, more detailed levels. Hopefully 3D levels.

  4. Oh what a pity Capcom, only $32m profit this year :-(
