If you were one of the many who watched Sony’s E3 conference, you likely remember what some considered to be the hit of the show, the Far Cry 4 gameplay demo. One of the things that made that demo so much fun was the bit where an elephant ransacks a village full of baddies, indiscriminately tearing his way through several enemies and at least one vehicle.
Ubisoft are now ready to show a bit more of what the elephants are like in Kyrat with this new trailer, which focuses on the size, speed, and sheer force behind these majestic creatures.
Maybe it sounds crazy but the idea that I can hop on an elephant and go on a trampling spree really makes me want to grab Far Cry 4 when it launches this autumn. How about you?

Yup, definitely getting this. I haven’t gotten round to playing Far Cry 3 and this looks brilliant. I think it comes out a week earlier/later than GTA5 but if I have to choose it’ll be this. I do want GTA5 but since I have the PS3 version I’m not sure I’ll bother with it, despite it looking vastly improved.

Yeah you really should, it’s an experience :) If you’re worried about the length, I wouldn’t say it’s too long, you could blitz through and just enjoy the story and some hunting… or go for the easy platinum!
Back to this trailer, 4 is looking truly epic. It looks way more vertical than 3, in which the mountains and gliding were a great feature. I think I might be tempted to make a preorder.

Yeah, I have intended to, it’s just finding the time!!
I’d be tempted to start with the Co-op (for several reasons). Firstly, gaming is more fun with friends; it would mean the platinum is then always a possibility with online stuff out the way; and it’s not to much of a time investment if I don’t enjoy it (which I’m sure I will though)! :)
If the forums get back up and running I’ll look for a Co-op partner, as a fair few people should have it from PS+

Yup, apparently there are 6 co-op missions (so I’ve read), of which there is a trophy for completing each. These are the only multiplayer/online trophies for the platinum. Fancy it?

Yeah, it’s dedicated co-op missions based on locales from the game rather than a shared co-op singleplayer (for example).
Similar to BF3 in that respect (pretty much the only thing that’s similar really!)

I totally forgot about those. I remember them now. They actually ended up being quite fun in the end. I’ve no longer got the game though mate so can’t help unfortunately.

Happy to help Youles. Seem to remember them being pretty quick. Did them all in a couple of hours. Loved FC3 and deffo buying FC4. I’m playing FC Classic at the mo too, which is also fun.

I’ll be getting this as it does look really good but i think i’ll just get the PS3 version.I don’t think there’ll be much difference between graphics to justify paying an extra £10 just so i can have it on the PS4.I wonder if you can make the elephant take a dump on one of the enemies?
