EA Game Discounts Hit PlayStation And Xbox Stores

A bunch of new disounts and sales are hitting both the Xbox Games Store and PlayStation Store this week, with featured price cuts on EA games taking pride of place.

But there’s cuts being made elsewhere too. The PS Store Deal of the Week knocks Just Cause 3 down to £29.99, while a collection of Digital Discounts cutting Minecraft: Story Mode to £14.99, Jackbox Party Pack 2 to under a tenner, and a few other things that might grab your attention.

Alas, the EU PS Blog no longer shows prices, and doesn’t even show the discounts, so you’ll have to click through to the store, if you’re interested. Keep scrolling, and you’ll also come to the better labelled discounts for Xbox games.

Deal of the Week: (until 10/02/16)

EA Franchise Promotion: (until 17/02/16)

Helldivers DLC Sale (Until 01/03/16)

Digital Discounts: (Until 03/02/16)

On the Xbox Games Store, Titanfall is today’s daily deal, with up to 75% off, but there’s also savings running until next week, with 50% off Watch Dogs, 40% off Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor, and up to half off Star Wars Battlefront.

You need to log in on the Xbox site to see which discounts apply to you, depending on your subscription (games with an asterisk are deals exclusively for Gold members), but here’s a list of the Xbox One’s percentage cuts. For Xbox 360 deals and more, head over to Major Nelson’s blog.

  1. Will Future Cop LAPD work on PS3 and Vita only?

    • And PSP!

      • Sold! And maybe even Theme Park too.

    • doesn’t look like it will work on Vita sadly.
only lists PSP and PS3 in the, playable on, box.

so if you were thinking of buying for playing on Vita, might be wise to check first.

  2. Good sale, on xboxone Need for Speed is £18 and Star Wars Battlefront is £27, these are the kind of prices I’ll pay for digital AAA games, not the usual £55.

    • I wonder how long it will be before those two games are on EA access. Both are good, but I think I’ll be ‘that guy’ and wait for them on Access.

      • NfS will probably be in it around summer I’d guess, Battlefront I can’t see them giving that away any time soon though.

      • I was surprised BF Hardline hit the vault after just 6 months, so I’ m counting on the same thing with Battlefront. Especially as EA’s line of thinking with Hardline must have been “we have the main pot of money from retail sales, make it free, then get money on the season passes”

  3. Fifa 16 is a smidging cheaper than a used copy so I’m downloading that. It also comes with free PvZ Gardens and Graveyards so if you have neither then £21.99 for them both is a very decent deal.

  4. Damn EA Shills! Where does TSA get off on reporting EA news in a neutral manner and to inform people!? What kind of sick site allows EA to be reported on! I bet it’s that Atari fella that is bribing TSA to report on EA as part of a conspiracy to report all news! I’M ONTO YOU, TSA! AND ANYONE WHO DEFIES MY WORD IS A POOPYHEAD!

Sorry, just had to get that joke out of my system.

I don’t like the new layout of sale reports on here as it is rather incovnient to have to manually look up every game via the links. I just perfer the list with the prices on.

    • Sony no longer release the prices with announcements on the Blog and I would assume this to also be the case with any info provided to media.

      • Yup. No prices on anything EVER AGAIN.

        MWahahahahhaahahahhahah!

        *crash of lightning*

    • There was a joke there? ;)

  5. And why on the store are they only listing 12 per page? Takes forever to browse through, especially since half of it (or more) is DLC…

The deal of the week isn’t that special either, can get it on disc for the same price, but could be tempted by some of the others… is Batlefield Hardline worth £12?

  6. frankly, i think i smell a little bit of bullshit in the blog’s refusal to show the prices, but then i do hold scee in very, VERY, low regard these days.

maybe they are legally prevented from displaying prices, or maybe they just don’t want people to know how much more their country might be paying for products.

if it is the former, of course they took the solution that required the least amount of work.

    anyway.

    Mass Effect for £3.59?
    hell yeah.

been waiting to play the whole trilogy on Playstation and i have 2 and 3 from my plus sub, i think they both came with my sub, they’re on my account anyway.
i have those two but the original normally only comes with the trilogy, on disc anyway, i probably should have looked into the download version.
but hey, i can get it really cheap now, so it all worked out.

    • Thought this was mentioned the other day, but I think they said that the prices were removed as they tend to be confusing for multiple region disciplines (such as Europe).

Far as I know, you now see the prices when you get to the store based upon your IP?
