A quick recap: Allison Road looked awesome, had a Kickstarter that was well on the way to being funded before the whole thing was shut down and the team announced Team 17 had stepped in and they would be publishing the game.
It went a bit quite after that, and then a few days ago the Allison Road twitter account suddenly announced the game had been cancelled.

So far, unremarkable, until today when a statement was posted on the Allison Road Facebook page.
After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.
Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated!
As you can see, the statement explains that the game is no longer signed to Team 17, rather than being cancelled outright. We hope to have some sort of clarification soon.

It would be great to think it could still go ahead, here’s hoping..

What the fuck is going on?
I don’t understand the statement at all. Sounds like either creative differences or budget reasons. Still, what the fuck is going on?
Steven confused!

Maybe Konami threatened to sue due to its similarity (basically copy & paste) to P.T so Team17 decided to part ways

#feckkonami.
Wait, does that mean….
Oh for feck’s sake.
Resident Evil 7 canned.
This is why we don’t have good survival horror games.
Damn Konami!
What? They will stop anything that resembles P.T out of pettiness and to prevent Kojima’s idea from being achieved in another form! No, I AM NOT CRAZY! THIS IS A LEGIT THEORY!
