Sign Ups For PS4 System Software Beta Now Open

Sony has opened up beta sign ups to test out the next system software update for the PS4, but hasn’t released any details as to what will be contained in it. One clue may lay in the encouragement by Sony to get people to tell their friends to sign up too. It could be an expansion of the friend log in notification system, which is currently limited to which players you select to be notified about. Or maybe there will be changes to party systems. One requested feature, which isn’t to do with friends, is folders so maybe they’ll make an appearance.

If you wish to sign up you just need to click over to here and simply enter your PSN ID. Not everyone is guaranteed a spot, but if you do get one you’ll be notified at some point next month.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. I’m more encouraged by the wording on the tweet by PlayStation Europe for this: “A big PS4 system software update is coming soon”… BIG!!!

    • They mean that it will be a 45gb download = BIG!!! ;)

      • I fear your update will be corrupted if last night is any indication of your internet connection quality!

      • MANY BIG STABILITY FIXES!!
        I may actually sign up.

      • Do it, both of you sign up, all you do is enter your PSN ID. Simple. I did the last one, was nice.

But yes, I’ll be lucky if I can download anything these days!

  2. The other two tests didn’t cause any problems for me so will sign up again.
Intrigued to find out more about it.

  3. Signed up yo!

  4. I took part in the last two so might as well give this a go too, don’t think we’ll ever see folders though.
