Latest Mass Effect: Andromeda Video Delves Into Combat

BioWare has begun a gameplay series in the run up to Mass Effect: Andromeda’s release, and the first video looks at the various combat techniques players can utilise. There’s talk about the different weapon types, with these being divided into weapons that fire bullets, beam weapons, and plasma based weapons, with each having their own pros and cons. Beams for example don’t require ammo but have cooldown times. Weapons aren’t locked to class type so it doesn’t matter if you decide to become a biotic or not.

The video does also discuss the various class differences and what kind or powers or equipment each has. For example the Tech class gives players access to a flamethrower ability or a tactical cloak to hide from enemies, while Biotic brings back abilities like singularity and barrier, as well as adding a few other variations.

Going by the video combat looks a lot more fluid compared to the original Mass Effect trilogy, with very few limitations when it comes to options on the battlefield. Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on  March 23rd in the UK and Europe for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It releases on March 21st in North America.

  1. Cannot.
    Wait.

    It looks sooooo good! :D

  2. I just happened to watch another video of it last night, and I’m actually tempted to get this soon after release. Given my backlog, I probably won’t get around actually playing it before the price comes down to about £20, but that’s a different story.

  3. Can’t come soon enough. Been waiting for something exceptional to play for a long long time.
