Hey, remember when Bungie launched an expansion for Destiny 2 and locked out people from getting a trophy because those with the base game had removed the Prestige Nightfall? Remember how apologetic they were and promised they would never do that sort of thing again? “This was an unacceptable lapse on our part, and we can understand the frustration it has created,” they said.
Uhuh.
Destiny 2’s update brings Moments of Triumphs, digital acknowledgements of players being awesome and one of these achievements is “Own The Limited Edition Of Destiny 2″. That means completionists have to buy the Limited Edition of the game to get it, it is locked behind a very expensive paywall.
But wait, there’s more. You can’t buy the Limited Edition anymore and it seems the achievement is bugged, those who do own the Limited Edition are not unlocking the Moment.
Now you could argue that this is a digital trinket, an image on a screen, it doesn’t give you anything extra in the game and it is utterly pointless, but so are trophies and many people think they are important.
Quite why Bungie even thought this was a good idea in the first place is staggering, especially as they made the same screw up nine months ago.

Thing is they’ve clearly thought it through as it awards zero triumph points, so it isn’t needed for achieving maximum points but for those who like to literally get everything, it will annoy them.
