Where most head to head battles between assassins turn into games of cat and mouse, Hitman 2 is taking a different approach to finding who the best Agent 47 out there is. Ghost Mode doesn’t task you with taking each other out, instead it’s a synchronous race against time to see who can remove the most targets.
You start alongside each other, have the same opportunities to grab weapons and disguises as each other and have the same targets, but you don’t quite share the same world. Instead, as the name suggests, you simply see your opponent’s ghost, meaning they can’t actively interfere with your killing spree. Whoever can eliminate five targets the quickest is crowned the winner.
At launch only the Miami location will be featured in Ghost Mode, but this will spread to the other Hitman 2 locations and the World of Assassination locations for those who also own the previous Hitman game after launch.
Hitman 2 is out for PS4, Xbox One and PC on 13th November.
