Update: That was quick. No sequel news for now as confirmed by Cory Barlog himself.
Oh, to all asking about the final shot in the trailer.
That was the original pre-rendered teaser trailer for GOW 2018 we were going to hide on the GOW 3 remastered PS4 release. But we ran out of time to get it on the disc so it ended up getting put on the shelf until now.

Original story:
It has been one year since Kratos made his return in God of War beginning a new era away from the pantheon of Greece and right into the Nordic realm. It was a risk that Sony Santa Monica took to move the setting, but it paid off with the latest adventure of Kratos being one of the best games to be released for the PS4. Soon you’ll be able to get a behind the scenes look at how the development team put the masterpiece together as there will be a documentary called God of War: Raising Kratos released, which chronicles the highs and lows.
The trailer covers various instances of the stages from concept to E3, but it doesn’t end there. At the end of the trailer some more footage is shown of Kratos, and it isn’t a familiar scene from the game. Is this the first look at a sequel, DLC, or cut content that never made the final game? You decide.
