It’s taken a while to get here but at last the UK has a digital sales chart. It’s not 100% accurate as the data is provided by publishers and developers rather than retailers and some companies such as Nintendo, Konami, and Bethesda, are not supplying data, so don’t expect any of their games to feature.
Publishers that are participating include: Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, Electronic Arts, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, Microsoft, Milestone, Paradox Interactive, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Take-Two, Ubisoft and Warner Bros.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at our first ever official digital chart which is for last week as these things take a while to compile.

Well that’s rather different from the official retail chart which had Team Sonic Racing at the top, a game that doesn’t even feature in the digital top ten. GamesIndustry.Biz have the exact sales numbers and have revealed that Total War: Three Kingdoms actually outsold Sonic in terms of units making it “the real No.1 for that week”, with Team Sonic making second place in a combined chart. It will be interesting to see how well Blood & Truth, this week’s physical chart topper, does in the digital charts when are they are released next week.
Back to the digital chart and there are a few titles you would expect, Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft, Red Dead sell by the bucket load on any platform, but you can see that FIFA 19 and Cities:Skylines have jumped up from the bottom of the charts last week due to discounting.
Also, who knew there were so many Uno and Monopoly players in the UK? Both games are published by Ubisoft and barely get a mention in gaming publications (including us) but clearly there are a lot of fans.
