SEGA has confirmed that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 15th, marking the first time a Hatsune Miku title will be made available on the console. The release will be digital-only and a demo has gone live today. The demo gives access to two songs from the playlist with those songs being Arifureta Sekai Seifuku and Romeo and Cinderella. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix will have over 100 songs in total from the franchise’s history. The demo will allow you to play the songs in the traditional Hatsune Miku way through pressing the buttons to match the rhythm, or through the Mix mode which is motion-based where you need to use the Joy-Cons to match the rhythm.
There are two versions of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix to pre-order from the Nintendo eShop. The first is the base version priced at £34.99, but there is also going to be a Mega Pack version with a price of $59.99 and that version includes access to six additional song packs that will each have six songs in them. You’ll be able to buy these packs individually as they launch or get these packs as a separate bundle. In addition, pre-orders will get access to four additional songs immediately at launch through the Theme Song DLC pack, but if you do not want to pre-order those songs will be available for free from June 12th onwards. Other details include the fact that there will be over 300 costumes to customise Hatsune Miku in and you’ll also be able to choose different character skins of  Rin, Len, Luka, KAITO, or MEIKO, but these are just skins and have no bearing on the vocals whatsoever.
