Dead by Daylight Halloween event kicks off next week

Dead by Daylight Halloween Header

The Dead by Daylight Halloween event, Haunted by Daylight will be kicking off next week on 11th October, with a whole bunch of cosmetics to unlock and a little twist on the regular hunter vs. hunted gameplay. A free weekend will also run from 27th-1st November so more players can join in for Halloween itself.

There’s a staggered rollout through the week, with 11st October seeing the Tricks and Treats Collection launch and additions to the Hallowed Blight Collection (including an Albert Wesker outfit). That will then lead into Tome 13 of the Archives on 12th October, Malevolence will feature community designed outfits by Yui Kimura on the free reward track, and Michaela Reid and The Ghost Face appearing in the Premium track.

Then, running from 13th October to 3rd November, Haunted by Daylight will mix in a new gameplay idea, requiring players to gather and steal “Void Energy” during matches. Collect and deposit this energy and you’ll earn special rewards including skeletal shirts for the survivors and sugary weapons for the killers. Completing special challenges will unlock event charms and new outfits.

So there’s plenty of Dead by Daylight Halloween goodness to dip into, and stuff to earn across a good chunk of the game’s characters – the Albert Wesker skin is a nice surprise, building on the recent Resident Evil: Project W chapter, but so’s good ol’ Ghost Face getting a little love. Dead by Daylight is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Stadia and PC.
