PUBG: Battlegrounds is squading up with PAYDAY for a new co-op heist most within the popular battle royale game. This limited-time PvE experience is available from today to 17th June on PC and from 21st May to 25th June on console.
Developed in collaboration with Starbreeze, this four-player co-op mode will see players try to infiltrate high-risk locations, steal some loot and then get out while fighting waves of security. These take place in locations inspired by Payday 3, including The Exchange, Diamond District, Nightclub, and Road Rage.
Players will be able to choose from Assault, Medic, Tank, Marksman, and Ghost classes, each having different strengths to create the squad dynamic. These can then be augmented with class-specific ultimates and gadgets, with additional skills and weapons unlocked by completing heists and securing more loot.

A barmy mash-up, but I’m intrigued how it all comes together. It’s fairly well known that Starbreeze didn’t replicate the success (financially or critically) of Payday 2 with Payday 3, so this kind of opportunity and partnership could be a good way to support both the franchise and studio while looking to the future.
