Grasshopper Manufacture Announce Sine Mora

Announcing a new joint co-development digital distribution partnership with Digital Reality, Grasshopper Manufacture have revealed the first game of the venture with be PSN/XBLA title Sine Mora.

Grasshopper’s CEO, Goichi Suda (Suda51), describes the partnership:

“We think we can strongly benefit from having an ally such as Digital Reality in the digital publishing realm, who can provide long term online publishing services to its partners, and to gamers.”

Andras Peller, CEO of Digital Reality, adds:

“The partnership with GhM is an important step for Digital Reality. This collaboration with a Japanese top-tier developer pursues the development of our publishing line-up, whilst offering creative freedom to developers who want to make high value titles for online distribution.”

Not much is known about Sine Mora other than the fact that it is described as a traditional side-scrolling shooter with “innovative time manipulation mechanics.”

We have also received the following fetching logo.

Grasshopper Manufacture is probably best known for the irreverent No More Heroes games and the fact that Suda-san has Hideo Kojima’s phone number. Probably his real one, too. In fact, there’s some possibility that the two directors may eventually make a game together. At least, they’re incessantly talking about it. Whether or not it ever actually happens is anyone’s guess.

  1. That’s got to be awarded ‘most confusing news story title of the month’. I only clicked on it to see what the heck it was on about, but since I like side-scrolling shooters… now I’m interested!

  2. I’m willing to bet those japanese letters spell Sine Mora

    • Close enough. They’re the katakana characters for SHI NE MO RA.

  3. Can it be…. a japanese side-scrolling shooter? YES!! I’m a huge fan of Capcom side-scrolling shooters and I’ve always been interested in new shooters that went by.
