EA have released some more footage of the Dice developed Medal Of Honor. The new action shows off one of the multiplayer modes, called Combat Mission.
Coalition forces are tasked with clearing five consecutive objectives to win and the insurgents must stop them at any cost. As objectives are cleared, new areas of the map open up to reveal what the coalition must do next. The team health meter represents coalition reinforcements. If it’s depleted before the current objective is cleared, the match ends and coalition forces are stopped.
You can pick up Medal Of Honor on October 12th, 13th or 15th depending where in the world you live, unless you’re planning on making one hell of a trip.

So, Gold rush then? My favourite Battlefield game mode. :)

I reckon I’m going to finally trade in BC2 against this, but with BO coming out a month later MOH might suffer the same fate..

Looking good, sounds like the sound design is up there with BFBC2, and the level design reminds me a little of BF2 (good thing!).
Here’s hoping it hits the sweet spot, nailing what makes MW2 a decent game and eradicating what makes it annoying.
I’m looking forward to playing this on release and then getting a second wind when Black Ops comes out causing the idiot percentage playing Medal to drop significantly.

I was under the impression that Treyarch were aiming to do just that. Personally I bought and sold MW2 with not much time between transactions, and while I did prefer BFBC2 to begin with, I played enough to get all but one trophy and then went back to COD4. MOH looks and sounds too much like battlefield, that I would severly miss destructable enviroments. Its a multiplayer killer for me that one. COD has always been the better twitch game imo too, so idiot proofing pending, I predict that Black Ops will be my multiplayer of choice, while MOH will be a single player soiree.

From what I’ve seen I would suggest that Black Ops is going to be almost identical to MW2 but with a few tweaks/additions so I’m not convinced it’s going to be for you if you got rid of MW2 very quickly. Suits me because I loved MW2.

Please let there be a hardcore playlist and some sort of one life per round game modes.

I would say its more Battlefield than COD, which isn’t surprising as its DICE.

My thoughts exactly. Hence I don’t see it as a direct competitor to COD.

Can’t wait!

Looking pretty good. This plus a Frontline remake will make me a very happy gamer.
Rocket_345
Frontline remake?

It does look good and sound very good. Thought he was going to jump in the fighter jet half way through. However I do think it will struggle against CoDs pure polish. Given how similar CoD WaW was to MW1 I think Black Ops will be pretty much an Infinity Ward game in everything but name.
I liked BFBC2 but the CoD games just feel like they have better weapon accuracy and sheen. I hope it does well though as DICE deserve it.

In regards accuracy, BFBC2 had bullet flight time if that’s what you mean?
yogdog
bad company 2 has better accuracy than CoD (imo) but the accuracy of guns in the MoH beta seemed to be lacking.
ScottW-1976
As soon as an FPS goes more “twitch” based accuracy always seems to lessen, which is probably why MOH doesn’t feel as accurate as BC2.
