February is Minis month and as you can see below the massive sale takes up half of the update. There are some real gems on offer so be sure to pick them up if you’ve missed them first time around. Of course, it’s not just about the Minis as the Killzone 3 multiplayer beta is now open to everybody from 11am [GMT] Thursday. Elsewhere are the trial and unlocks for Beat Sketcher and Tetris, along with the Fight Night Champion demo and the usual range of add-on content and other media.

  1. Not wanting to come over all negative ninny in the post, but a bit disappointed that The Undergarden didn’t make the cut and am more than a little bemused at Auditorium HD’s continued absence.

    Oh well, at least Crash2 turned up after over 2 years

    • I’m right there with you in the disappointment over the no show of Undergarden. The EU blog post about it has been hastily and sneakily edited to say it’s not due to be released here until February 23rd.
      I got fed up waiting for Auditorium, so I just bought it from the US store, I may well do the same for Undergarden.

    • Crash Bandicoot 2 is immense. One of the first games I ever completed, after Croc, which also needs to go on the store!

      • Oh Croc was on of my first Playstation games that I throughly enjoyed, it needs to be on the PSN!!!

        The platforming.. the graphics …. ARGH!! unmatched!!

      • At the age of 6, Croc started me on the downward slope that is becoming a gaming nerd. I need this. I was so happy after I beat that last boss (forgotten his name – it’s on the tip of my tongue!).

      • Croc was awesome. I remember it being slated in so many magazines, but it was great fun.

    • I got crash 2 years ago. Did it go away then?

      • I think it had to be removed due to a legal issue.

      • Though now I think of it, I think there was something to do with bugs, if that’s the case and it has been fixed, I’d assume you could just download the new version free of charge. Not positive about this, though.

  5. I’m a bit bemused by the fact that on tuesday the official blog was advertising it was out on the eu store today, and now they’re saying ‘actually, it’s not’. Bit weird…

  6. Well it’s about time Crash 2 was on there! My Store-bought Naughty Dog Quadrilogy has been one game short for well over a year now! Apart from that, and the Killzone Beta, nothing for me again this week.

    Possibly Killzone 3 and Fight Night too though, like cc, I’m disappointed by no Undergarden and/or Auditorium.

  9. Does anyone know if GTA IV: The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony Bundle, is the standalone games or will I need a copy of GTA IV to play them?

    • My understanding is if you buy the disc for tL&D & tBoGT it is standalone, but the digital copies require you to own the game.

      I may be wrong though

      • I thought that was only for the 360 version? I definitely heard something like this so I don’t think you are entirely wrong.

        i bought the disk, but my bro brought dlc, iv needed
        one benifit of the dlc, is that it adds new music to iv
        whilst disk does not, but has more tracks in l&d & tbogt the dlc version

        after realising dlc added more music to iv, i dloaded his file
        now i have best of both :)

    • I don’t think you need the disc it might be like a PSN game

      • no, it is an add on for the disc based game, so you will need the disc.

      • oh…

    • yes you do need the disc, to play them, (it’s cheap now anyway) as it works from the in game menu, like Red Dead Redemption.

      the only way to get the standalone version is on disc, but it’s at least £10 dearer, unless you can still find the complete GTAIV game disc (which is doubtful)

    • to anyone who doesn’t have them i completed the ballad of gay tony the other night and i can tell you its the best dlc i’ve ever bought. amazing stuff
