BioShock Gets Move, Comes to NGP

Ken Levine, creative director at Irrational Games, walked on stage to announce that BioShock Infinite will feature Move support, after a lengthy anecdote about how Sony changed his mind about the controller.

Then, producing an NGP from his pocket, he announced that there will be a game on the way for it, set in the BioShock universe. This should be very interesting, and it looks like the NGP is being supported well enough and in a variety of ways, for it to be a solid, successful console.

Tretton then went on to mention that those who buy BioShock Infinite will get the original Bioshock for free, on the same disk. That’s two great games for the price of one, on one disc! That’s the power of Blu-ray for you.

  1. May I use this opportunity to promote my Bioshock fanblog?

Link removed – Sorry dude but we would rather you dont, otherwise everybody would be doing it! – AG

    • In other news, it looks brilliant! :)

    • & ahhkay, fair enough AG.

  2. Awesome news about the original coming on the disk! I had it on 360 but after it died and I switched to ps3 I’ve always wanted to play it again. Whoop whoop.

    • The PS3 version also has Survival difficulty, and 3 Challenge Rooms with New Game+ as DLC. :)

  3. I’m impressed Sony got Irrational to add move support, kudos.

  4. sweet great news.

  5. Another free game! I already have it on PS3 but I guess I can lend it to friends without worrying about it getting broken/lost now.

  6. Yay, a actual proper game I may actual pop my Move cherry with.

  7. elizabeth looks a lot better in the new footage, less cartoony.
and the world they’ve created for the game is starting to look very interesting.
i’m wondering what the connection between the city in this game is and rapture.

anyway, it’s looking like a pretty good game, just like the first one.

    • There will be no connection between Columbia and Rapture seeing Bioshock Infinite is around 1912, whereas Rapture was established around 1950-60

  8. Missed them first time round so this is great!

  9. Wow, a lot of love for the Vita. Loving it! When will they announce a Final Fantasy Vita game? :D

  10. Not quite as impressive as Values turnaround to PS3 last year but still quite impressive to turn developers around. I wonder if some money may have helped the change of view.

    • I like Value. They make stem powered games!

      ;)
