Ah, Konami, you tease us so. This just sprang up on the Kojima Productions site this morning, it’s a flash landing page with nothing but the Konami logo and the image above. Is the green a reference to the 360? Are the exclamation marks a reference to the Wii, or Ac!d, or the DSi? Is that a PC power button? Whichever, we have a sinking feeling this isn’t a PS3 game…

I’m guessing that they are about to announce a Wii, Ac!d, and 360 port of MGS4.

Let’s face it, who can begrudge any company dispensing with 3rd party exclusivity in the current economic climate.

This rumour has been rumbling on for months now hasn’t it?
I’m past caring, Hideo isn’t doing anymore so it will be a bastardisation of the franchise anyway and it will quite possibly suck.

wouldn’t be too sure mate… Kojima’s been trying to get mgs4 on xbox for some time now but first he has to find a way to get it preloaded to the hdd as it’s a biig game. he wants more revenue out of his baby. I rekon its MGS4 on the xbox 360

Don’t they have to remake MGS4 a few times before they move onto anything else?

Guys, the picture says “Next” Metal Gear. MGS4 is “Current” not Next MG
So it will not be MGS4 port. Maybe iPhone sequel of Ac!d…

*conspiracy* There’s a dot missing. the dot from the second exclemation mark is not in the circle. as is the other dot from the first mark. is this a sign? maybe we should bring Kojima in for ‘questioning’. *conspiracy*

Tried that already on my telly. They just turned into funny blue red and green pixels.

Alright, does anyone own a PS3 here? Haven’t you all noticed that that is the exact same symbol as the power button on the PS3? It’s just to the right of the eject disc button, but the circle with line in it is exactly like the power/standby button on the front of the PS3. So how can anyone be thinking it won’t be PS3?

I’m not too bothered by any of this, Metal Gear has been dead to me as a series since MGS4. It’s time to move on, right now we’ve got plenty of other things to look forward to – Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and God of War 3.

I could just mean they gave a new MGS the green light. So actually all it says is:
I + MGS = On
I = Kojima Productions
MGS ofcourse
On = time to start
Text is green, hence green light.
It’s that easy.

It was just a question of time really, gone are the days when SONY aggressively pursued third party exclusives. We all know how that has been working out for them so far.
