Tony Hart, childhood hero, legendary artist and uber talented craftsman passed away peacefully yesterday, news coming through half way through my belated Sunday Thoughts post, which will probably now never make it out.

Tony Hart meant a huge amount to viewers of my generation: his handcrafted approach to his art made kids like me appreciate every bit of cardboard in the house. Hart also had a great influence on Media Molecule’s development of LittleBigPlanet, and their appreciation of the artist and entertainer can clearly be seen through Sackboy’s entire journey.

Rest in peace.
