Originally having heard this news I thought this was a new game coming to the PSN, I was wrong. It’s actually two new games coming to the PSN.
Digger is a classic ’80s PC Game and RTS, which been given a major face-lift while staying true to its classic gameplay. Players make their way through an underground maze by controlling a small construction vehicle, having to dig through the dirt horizontally and vertically to create their own path, which sounds remarkably like how I play Worms. With 60 levels, 240 challenges, a Survival mode players will have more than enough content to collect power-ups, jewels and coins through.
Mushroom Wars is an all-ages, fast-paced, real time strategy that brings arcade skirmish gameplay to the forefront. It works as you expect an RTS to with plenty of upgrading, strategy and battles involved. Play through 18 levels Skirmish levels and 25 Campaign levels while using a specialized rating system called ‘The Elo Rating System’ to calculate your relative skill level in comparison to that of your opponent.
The games will be released to download this summer via the PSN. The E3 news keeps pouring in doesn’t it? But wasn’t it meant to start tomorrow?
