Super Stardust HD has been one of the most supported PSN titles since launch, and although it hasn’t had the same quantity of updates that the likes of PAIN might have seen, the quality has been exceptional, not least the fact that developers Housemarque brought the PlayStation 3 fanbase their first ever Trophies.

It seems, though, that they’re not yet done. “Although we’ve recently been busy with our current PlayStation 3 project,” says the official website, “we still keep thinking of doing some updates for Super Stardust HD in the future. There is at least one specific idea that would certainly add a new dimension to the game!” Interesting stuff…

Sounds interesting. I’m forever greateful for Housemarque for bringing the first trophyenabled game to life.

  I remember your name and remember it from the fact that you were like the first person to add videos fo SSHD to youtube when the patch had come out and do walkthroughs of the game, was good stuff (Y). I also look forward to see what this update is that will ‘Add a new dimension to the game’.

I’m going to have to keep tuned on this one. SSHD is one of the best purchases I’ve made, and it still gets played on regularly. It’ll be interesting to see what they can come up with.

  Watching the pictures of the TSA Challenge #5 got me back that feeling..
  
  Man what do I s*ck at this game.. and when playing I was thinking I’m the man!..
  
  So if the update is that all the scores a cleared and we can start over, I could have fun for a few days

I love SSHD, and back when it first came on the store I used to play it for hours upon end. In my opinion it is one of the top 5 games on the PS3 to date, which is quite a success seeing as it’s just a network game. I would love to see more to the game, and possibly… dare I say it… more tropies???

    That’s what I was thinking, but I’m not sure how they’d implement it. You wouldn’t want a rewind button or anything like that. Maybe a high speed mode?

I haven’t even bought the existing DLC for this game yet!! I keep meaning to, but I’ve been busy playing other stuff!!

I must pull my finger out and get back to playing this awesome game again soon!!

I agree with the last two comments; additional weapons and/or planets would be great for any future DLC.

I finally got all the trophies a few weeks ago, after getting unbelievably frustrated with the late boomer trophy! It’s so satisfying to see that 100% there though – after being the first on my friends list to acquire any trophies thanks to that game

I still haven’t got all the trophies for this game! You’d think everyone would have them by now, but that 15 tokens in a second or whatever it is, just can’t do it! I’m sure there’s a couple of others I’m missing too!
