Sean Eyestone, host of The Kojima Productions Report, had this to say with regards to the much rumoured Trophy patch for Metal Gear Solid 4: “I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we’re not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It’s just that we can’t say anything just yet.” They could at least say “you’re getting them at some point,” mind.
“But as soon as we have something to say, we will announce it,” he continues. “So, if we can just ask everyone to be patient, we will give you an answer. But right now we can’t say anything. So we just ask for everyone’s understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and we’ll let you know.” So, er, be patient. Behinds the scenes lots of Konami-shirted monkeys are busily adding Trophies to your favourite sneak-em-up.

might have to pick this up for another play through if there’s a trophy patch.
Nice that they’re finally on the ball though and confirming that there’ll be a patch. so now I feel like they want me to do something… erm… do they want me to e-mail them? no that can’t be it… write on their forums? no, no thats not it either. I suppose i’ll just be patient and wait then.

I’ve finally got round to playing MGS4 and I’m almost finished, but I suppose when they release the trophies (if they ever do) I’ll play it again.
It would be good if they at least gave us some kind of rough idea of what’s going on though.

I’ve just started re-playing MGS4 and it’s just as good the second time through. Hopefully trophies will come for it but it won’t put me off playing through it again without trophies. Can’t wait for MGS: Rising.

My favourite sneak-em-up is now the Batman demo that hit the stores yesterday. I’d like to see a hybrid game though, like the Aliens Vs Predator games: Batman Vs Snake – whoever loses, we win!

Meh the game is AWESOME would’nt mind going through again if there is a trophy patch
I’m worrying about online though as we got our level up and since the trophy patch comes out it will probably reset the online rankings
well at least I think.

Unless the trophies, when they come out, are retroactive (which is unlikely though).

Having completed MGS4 about 3 times, I have now traded it in. Trophies too late and I will not be buying again for the forseeable future

I agree; I think these trophies are about 8 months too late to significantly impact their sales figures. To be honest I think a patch to include them would be nice, but it seems a bit pointless so long after the game has been out.

I completed mgs4 and not long after had a corrupt hard drive and lost all my saves, I also managed to miss some of the cutscenes after the credits as I went for a pee! (big mistake) and so have been waiting for some trophies before I start it all over again but can’t wait as it really was brilliant but trophies will just add to the enjoyment.

I had been holding it for like an hour of cutscenes already and thought the credits would last long enough for a quick pee, how mistaken could i have been! The credits couldnt of lasted long before they started another cutscene which i thought there could of been at the end of the credits but not that soon! ah well next time.

You don’t need trophies to play this again, It’s one of the best games ever played, Needless to say I would enjoy playing it for trophies again though, hopefully this is sooner rather than later.
Secondly, is this a ploy from Konami, they have held out until after the game has gone platinum, is basically no longer selling and then add trophies, They are essentially hitting 3 PS3 gamer market with 1 game

I would definately put the hours in if there is a trophy patch. Would be nice to see some sort of story DLC (Not just online packs) or a re-release with a ton of extras, like Substance and Subsistence.
