I love Tekken but I am pissed they went multiplatform because they always pushed the technicall boundries before being only on Playstation now you can clearly see that the game’s graphics and engine is not a huge strive from Tekken 5 DR available on the playstation store because it needed be coded so it would work on both machines.
Long story short I am pissed that I will not get the Tekken it could have been, a Playstation exclusive could have pushed the benchmarks further thus resulting and an next gen experience like other PS3 exclusives.

That is why I hate it when a game goes multiplatform. I know it takes time but why don’t more developers take Square Enix’s route and develop it for the PS3 and then shove it onto multiple discs for the X360?

Didnt know TEKKEN jumped ship and went to 360 as well…shame as iv all ways thought if it as an Playstation game, and a console seller in certain places. I may get it depending on how it reviews.

It’s a Tekken game. You could read the review for 5, know that the graphics will be better, the roster slightly larger and that the mini-game will be awesome or boring, and probably makea decision on that.

I’m not a big fan of beat-em-ups, so I’ll probably wait for this to be reduced before I consider getting it. Can’t really afford anyway with all the other AAA games coming out at the moment!!

I love Tekken, I’ve had every one (including Tag Tournament and Tekken5 DR on PS3 and PSP). To me, they are the perfect balance of fun and depth. You can have a battle with a noob and so long as you set the handicaps, its still not a complete whitewash. Get a friend round with similar skill and it is a fantastic local multiplayer game.
All they need to do for me to love this is make it look nice, include plenty of well balanced characters and add a more complete online mode.

I completely agree, Tekken is amazing when you get 2 people who have played it enough. I really think putting tag mode back into it would have helped. It turns an awesome 2 player game into a 4 player game without much work. Shame really

Tekken 3 was perhaps my favourite game of all time, i got tekken 5 which i loved equally as much, then i dropped a dualshock 2 on it and it cracked. They wouldnt let me take it back either! Thats GAME for you, always what they want, not what the customer wants…A NEW DISC FOR FREE
