SOCOM: Confrontation Expands

Cold Front Expansion Pack coming soon.

None.
After a series of patches and upgrades, SOCOM Confrontation has ended up being a pretty solid tactical shooting game on the PS3. While it is as hard as nails and very unforgiving, that’s part of the appeal and one of the reasons why it has such a loyal “hard-core” following.
Well, now Sony has announced a new add-on pack for the game. Entitled Cold Front, the pack adds 5 maps to the game, 2 are all-new and 3 are re-makes of classic SOCOM levels. The maps are Post War City, Moscow Underground, Blizzard, Night Stalker and Vigilance. Also included is a brand new game mode. Arms Run features missile launches placed randomly on a level that teams must either activate or destroy.
Cold Front also features snow for the first time, 7 new weapons (with 8 new attachments), 3 new special forces to choose from (Russian Spetsnaz, Italian Comsubin and Dutch KCT) and new music. There are some other tweaks to player class progression and tiebreaker rounds. All in all, plenty to get your teeth into and this will certainly go down very well with fans of the series. Unfortunately there is no word yet on release dates or price (however it will cost $14.99 in the US). Stay tuned for more information as and when we get hold of it.
