Our very own Liam scored Inferno Pool 9/10 on its original European PSN release, and now we can exclusively reveal that the game is not only landing on US shores soon, but it’s also going to be available on Xbox Live, too, with Koch Media picking up the Xbox publishing rights in North America and Asia. The game will be released in those two territories on October 28, 2009, with the Stateside PlayStation 3 release a day later as part of the usual Thursday PSN update.

Inferno Pool is a revolutionary new arcade Pool/Billiards game where 1-4 local or online players battle to clear their tables while firing potted balls at opponents. Players can stockpile balls for a later onslaught, nominate their victims, and unleash devastating ball streaks and outrageous skill shots to trigger the punishing Inferno Mode. Alliances will be formed, friends will be betrayed, and the battle isn’t over until the stat screen appears.

The game also includes classic 8 ball and 9 ball modes for 1-2 players, and the addictive, Inferno-fueled, race against the clock Endurance Mode.

  1. I’ve seen this one and never known whether to dive in? Is it worth it then?

    • Read Liam’s review. I liked it, too.

    • It’s a pretty good game, but ultimately it felt a little shallow (if you have nobody to play against). Even on the hardest setting, the aiming guide made it feel too easy for me, so much so that I rarely missed a shot. If the US release gives it a boost of new online players, it might be worth a shot though. Might be worth waiting to see if Hustle Kings is any good, as that has promised more of a sim-like experience.

      • I like it a lot, although I have almost no single-player experience. It’s fantastic fun with local multiplayer though, with 4-way split-screen. I’m not sure how much it costs, but if it’s €10, or less, buy it!
Thanks to TSA for giving it to me, in exchange for my hard-earned points!

      • i have it it is good fun. hustle kings looks even better

  2. Just so you know, the homepage doesn’t have a green dot for Xbox news. Just sayin’ :)

    • It does now. Someones fast ;)

      • The Nofinator

      • Like a speeding bullet… Thanks for the heads up.

  3. I was planning on getting this with my TSA points when i had enough :(
    How much is it?

  4. I got this game with my TSA Points a while back. It’s good fun, but I can never convince my friends to play it with me, and there’s never anyone online…

    • I’m disappointed to hear about the lack of online players as I’ve been thinking about getting this. Probably won’t bother now if there’s nobody to play against!!

      • Yeah, I mean I tried about 3 months ago when I got it and there was never anyone online. I thought I’d be ok living with 4 other guys but we played one game and they just couldn’t get themselves into it. Shame really…

    • Wow, when did that happen? I didn’t notice! :(
It was a great service though, I hope it comes back, but only if it’s viable.

      • I think the guys were saying it won’t be coming back, because of the focus with the GB deal. Makes sense really as the vouchers are an incredible offer. Maybe you can save up and get a PSN card?

  5. X-box owners are in for a delight. Tis quite fun to play this with a few mates.

  6. Shame I dont have a US account. I reall y should get around to setting it up

    • it is in the UK already
